Inhand Systems were asked to modify an existing application which was used in the back office for tracking responses to planning policy documents.

The system was extensiveley modified to bring the data into line with government standards for this type of system(Parsol). A web front end to this data was added as well as a citizen portal which allowed people to log into the portal to view their responses and to register for notifications about updates.

Technical the system was based around a central MS Sql Server database, with an ASP.NET/C# web front end. Back office functions such as reporting and contact management were done using MS Access.
