We select the appropriate technology for the job, basing this decision on performance, cost, ROI (return on investment) and future needs. But we do use up to date technologies. We use appropriate methodologies to help us design our software. These are selected on the basis of the complexity of the projects and how much new software has to be produced. In the main new projects projects would tend to be Object Orientated so we would make use of Object Orientated Design (OOD) techniques such as the Unified Modelling Language (UML). The benefit of good design practices ensures the system is understood by us the developers and you the client. Everyone involved understands what the system will do and what features it will contain. This results in the system being able to do its intended job and to be developed on time. We can of course produce Functional Requirements Specifications and other appropriate documentation. If neccessary we can carry out feasibilty studies working with end users to analyse business problems and help define an appropriate cost effective solution.
